    Univerge SV7000 station users have access to more than 780 service features that can enhance user productivity, reduce operating costs, and improve communication efficiency. In addition, the control, network and interface of the Univerge SV7000 can accommodate features, services and subsystems as required by specific applications.


  • Network Integration
    The Univerge SV7000 offers business, industry, hospitals and hotel/motels the ability to access an extensive array of information processing and management services by serving as the central controller of an integrated information network. The Univerge SV7000 reflects the philosophy of NEC to integrate Computers and Communications (C&C) technology, which can provide many voice and non-voice services.


  • Flexible Line Size
    Innovative modular hardware and software design allows the UNIVERGE SV7000 to efficiently serve from 50 ports to 16,000 ports. Modularity gives the system the ability to be expanded from its minimum configuration to its maximum capacity as the need arises. This unique expansion capability allows the system to grow in a cost-effective manner as the user requirements expand. Your initial system investment is protected through this growth capability.


  • Energy Saving and Space Savings
    Through employment of state-of-the-art technology in the system circuitry design, NEC has been able to reduce power consumption. As a result, the current consumption of the system has been reduced to less than that of any conventional electronic Enterprise Communication Platform (ECP) or PBX system. In parallel with the energy savings, the space requirement for the system has been reduced to a 19" rack 1RU form factor significantly smaller than a conventional electronic PBX system.


  • Flexible Interface Port
    The Univerge SV7000 employs software licensing to provide a Universal Port architecture that has the flexibility to accommodate station terminal equipment, trunks and other adjunct processors. This universality allows the system to maximize space utilization and lower expansion costs.


  • Redundancy
    The basic design philosophy of the Univerge SV7000 is to provide redundant capacity for all critical circuitry such as processors, control circuitry, memory, switching network and power. By providing this redundancy, NEC is able to offer a highly reliable system with an extremely high grade of maintainability and sophisticated fault diagnostics. The Univerge SV7000 has all the inherent reliability required to control network integration services.


  • High Reliability
    The Univerge SV7000 are designed and manufactured to provide the highest level of system reliability. They are designed with such features as: remote maintenance, distributed call processing, error-correcting memory, equipment redundancy, battery backup, self testing and automatic system alarm indications to insure unsurpassed reliability. Only the finest components have been used. In addition, through the employment of LSI and custom LSI and VLSI technology, the number of component parts has been greatly reduced, thus lessening possible failures and insuring continuous operation.


  • Intelligent IP Multifunction Terminal
    In addition to supporting conventional station equipment, the Univerge SV7000 can be equipped with the Dterm series of IP multifunction terminals. The Dterm instruments are intelligent microprocessor controlled terminals, which enhance the feature capabilities offered by the system while providing the service of conventional telephones over the LAN or WAN.


  • Ease of Installation
    Because the Univerge SV7000 use pre-assembled modules, it is easy to install. Add to that the benefit of using Installation Manager to simplify and streamline the actual installation process, the Total Cost of Ownership is reduced.


  • Ease of Maintenance
    Since the system is constructed with the highest quality components, reliability is insured and operation is trouble free. However, if a minor fault occurs, the self-diagnostic programs will detect the fault and automatically make the needed correction. If the problem is beyond the internal correction capabilities of the system, the self-diagnostic programs will send notification as to the nature of the fault and the involved unit to the MA4000 Maintenance Terminal. The alarm display panel provides additional notification of any errors detected. The faulty unit can then be quickly replaced with little or no interruption of service.


  • Flexible Numbering Plan
    The Univerge SV7000 provides a flexible numbering assignment to meet all forms of network integration service.


  • Future Capabilities
    Because the Univerge SV7000 uses a stored program control, performance enhancements and new features can be easily incorporated by simple changes in software. This means that the system will not become obsolete, protecting the initial investment.


  • Cost Controls
    With Telecommunications costs growing, it is becoming increasingly important to control them. The Univerge SV7000 makes it possible for you to get a firm grasp on telecommunications costs.
